Packaging Details
1. Individual Packaging Plastic Wrap/ Shrink Wrap: Each ductile iron double-flanged bend may be individually wrapped in plastic or shrink film to protect it from dust, moisture, and environmental factors. Polyethylene (PE) or Polypropylene (PP) Sleeves: For smaller parts, a PE or PP sleeve can be used for further protection. 2. Outer Packaging (Box/Crates) Wooden Crates or Boxes: For larger or heavier items, ductile iron bends are often packed in wooden crates or boxes. These containers provide stability and ensure protection against external impact during transportation. Steel Strapping: Crates or boxes are secured with steel bands to prevent movement during transit. Palletizing: The boxed or crated items are often placed on pallets for ease of handling and further stability. They may be wrapped in stretch film to keep them securely in place. 3. Labeling and Identification Product Labels: Clear labels indicating the size, material grade, and manufacturer information. Shipping Information: Barcodes, batch numbers, and other shipping-related information are often affixed to the outer package for easy identification during transportation and storage. 4. Protection Against Corrosion Corrosion Inhibitor: For ductile iron products, especially those in outdoor or marine environments, corrosion inhibitors or anti-rust coatings are often applied to the surface of the material before packaging. 5. Custom Packaging Options Custom Foam Inserts: Some manufacturers use custom foam inserts to provide extra cushioning, especially for highly specialized or fragile parts. Heavy-duty Bags or Tarps: For larger quantities, industrial-sized heavy-duty bags or tarps might be used. 6. Shipping Methods Containerized Shipping: For international shipping, these items are typically containerized to protect them during long-distance transport. Flatbed Trucks: For local shipments, these bends are often loaded onto

Ductile Iron Flanged Tee About

A ductile iron flange tee is a type of pipe fitting made from ductile iron, typically used in plumbing, industrial, or municipal applications for the distribution of fluids in a piping system. Heres a detailed description:

Material: Ductile Iron

Ductile iron (also known as nodular cast iron) is a type of cast iron known for its high strength, toughness, and ability to withstand pressure and wear. It is more flexible and durable compared to regular cast iron, making it suitable for demanding environments.

Design: Flanged Tee

Flanged Tee: This fitting has a "T" shape, which allows the connection of three pipes: one main pipe (straight run) and two branch pipes. The tee's flanged ends make it easier to connect to other pipe sections with a flange joint. Flanges are circular metal plates with holes that allow bolts to fasten the fitting to pipes or valves, ensuring a secure and leak-proof connection.
Flanged Ends: The flanges are typically equipped with bolt holes, allowing easy and secure attachment to corresponding flanged pipes or equipment. This ensures ease of assembly and disassembly in the system.

Function:

The flanged tee connects three pieces of piping at a 90-degree angle, allowing the flow of fluid from the main pipe to one or both of the branch pipes. Its commonly used for diverting or joining flows within a piping system.
Ideal for use in high-pressure systems due to its robust construction from ductile iron.

Applications:

Water distribution systems
Firefighting systems
Oil and gas pipelines
HVAC systems
Industrial process piping

Advantages:

High Strength: Ductile iron is more resistant to tensile stress and has greater elongation compared to regular cast iron.
Corrosion Resistance: Ductile iron often comes with coatings to protect against corrosion in harsh environments.
Durability: It can handle high pressures and temperatures, making it ideal for demanding industrial applications.
Ease of Maintenance: Flanged joints allow for easy disassembly and maintenance.

In summary, a ductile iron flange tee is a strong, durable, and reliable pipe fitting that provides a secure and flexible connection in various piping systems, especially where resistance to pressure and corrosion is crucial.
